Für Buch und Conference gilt: ‚Das gesprochene Wort ist der Star‘. Musiker und Akteure der Szene berichten von ihren Erfahrungen; manche gehen direkt auf die Grundfrage des Buchs ein: Gibt es einen typischen Sound für jede Region ? Die Verortung von Musik wird das Thema der Conference bleiben und diesen Fokus mit wechselnden Schwerpunkten Jahr um Jahr neu auszugestalten ist uns eine große Freude.
Musik ist ein Kulturgut, welches bisher zu wenig kontextualisiert wurde. Mit der Conference wird dem Fachmann, wie dem Laien, die Möglichkeit gegeben mehr über Künstler und Beteiligte zu erfahren, Fragen zu stellen und musikhistorisch wichtige Orte zu besuchen. Elektronische Musik, aber zB auch Punkrock, werden verhandelt, und natürlich DIY - nicht nur als technische Herangehensweise sondern als universelles Weltbild.
The following applies to book and conference: 'The spoken word is the star'. Musicians and participants share their experiences; some go straight to the fundamental question in the book: is there a typical sound for each region ? The location of music will remain the theme of the conference and it is a great pleasure for us to re-new this focus with changing priorities year after year.
Music is a cultural asset that has so far not been contextualized enough. The conference gives professionals as well as fans the opportunity to learn more about artists and activists, participate in Q&A’s and visit places that are important for music history. Not only Elektronic music, but as well styles like Punkrock, will be presented and of course DIY - not only as a technical modus operandi but a universal world view.
